AAA vs Indie Games: What Sets Them Apart?

This video compares big-budget AAA games with independent titles, highlighting differences in development, creativity, risk-taking, and player experience.

With 2025 coming to an end soon, we’re also moving ever closer to the official release date of the most anticipated game ever – GTA 6. Though, with the game taking so long to release, as well as a multitude of delays, some fans are worried. With a well-known insider also making ominous predictions, fans aren’t sure if the game will actually come out on May 26, 2026.

GTA 6: Will the May Release Fall Through?

This time, it’s not Jason Schreier or Tom Henderson sharing potentially bad news. Instead, it’s Reece Reilly, who runs the YouTube channel Kiwi Talkz. He regularly interviews various developers and is considered well-connected in the industry. Reportedly, he also has contacts at Rockstar Games, the studio behind GTA 6.

Fans pay close attention to what he shares on social media. One message in particular is getting a lot of attention, as Reilly explained that “GTA 6 could still be delayed again”. He wrote on X that he has “heard conflicting reports internally from different devs in different [Rockstar] studios” including San Diego, Bengaluru, and Edinburgh.

So, a delay for GTA 6 is still possible, even though all teams are working to “meet the deadline.” When asked for details, Reilly clarified that he couldn’t get a “clear picture” from his research, but believes the topic is being discussed intensely within Rockstar.

Game Content is Finished

Officially, Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not commented further. But that could change in a few days with the upcoming presentation of their next financial report. It’s possible that, during an event important to investors, a potential delay might be hinted at.

At least the content of GTA 6 isn’t causing any delays. Kiwi Talkz explained in another post, “The game is pretty much content complete all of this will be QA, fixing bugs and glitches etc. there is an insane amount of things to test.” According to the YouTuber, Rockstar Games definitely wants to avoid a situation like the launch of Cyberpunk 2077.

For now, GTA 6 is still set to launch on May 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If that date holds, pre-orders will probably start soon – and we’ll finally find out if the new GTA will actually cost $100 or not.
