Earlier this year, it was revealed that along with the M5 debut in the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro, new Apple TV and HomePod mini’s would also be coming. That was supposed to happen in October. While the others all got released, users are still waiting for the new smart home products.
Apple TV: In-Store Changes Have Fans Hopeful For Launch
In a recent report from Bloomberg, it was revealed that Apple retail stores are going to be receiving an overnight refresh on November 12. This has some wondering whether this means that employees have to set up some new devices in stores, like an upcoming Apple TV or HomePod mini. With it being right before the Christmas rush, it would make sense to put these products on the market then.
Of course, there is no confirmation, whether this retailer refresh even has anything to do with the Apple TV or HomePod mini. It could also just be a bit of a visual refresh ahead of the holiday season for Apple Stores. These retail adjustments are coming about two weeks ahead of Black Friday, so maybe it’s to prepare for the oncoming flood of customers.

New Apple TV and HomePod Mini Should Still Be Coming Though
Even though, these retail changes might not have anything to do with these products, it was noted by Bloomberg that both the Apple TV and HomePod mini are facing inventory shortages. This usually only happens when the developer is gearing up to release a newer and improved versions of the product, letting the old one run out.
Therefore, it is believed, that a new Apple TV and HomePod mini are still going to be released. It just isn’t clear yet, whether Apple decides to do so ahead of the holidays, or whether they’ll be pushed back into the new year. But November 12 is still a date to keep an eye on, because those in-store changes could mean an early reveal.
